The Department of Design and Visual Arts is delighted to present the work of the graduate class of 2020.
The BA (Hons) Art is an interdisciplinary programme that emphasizes traditional making in studio whilst encouraging students to experiment across media. This approach to art practice is reflected in the work of the graduating class of 2020 which encompasses practices in more traditional media such as paint, print, drawing, sculpture, film and photography, whilst also showcasing work in mixed media, sculptural installations, VR experiences, embroidery and textiles, sound art, found art, collage, site specific performance, web performance, digital projection and text.
The BA (Hons) Art programme benefits from close alignment with the National Film School at IADT. Graduates comfortably integrate new and emerging technologies. Working individually and collaboratively, graduates from this programme evolve into varied employment pathways, from illustrators to AV producers, arts educators to film makers, event co-ordinators to curators, creative writers and publishers to art technicians and public art fabricators.
