This project is an Interactive Audio Visual System. It uses ultra sonic sensors to allow a user to create interesting effects in real time by interacting with the sensors.

There are three sensors in total. Two control visual effects and can also be used to cut between clips. The effects vary depending how close the user is to the sensor. The effects are also customisable.

The third sensor is used to control Audio. It acts as kind of an ultrasonic theremin with the exception that it can create a wider range of sounds. The audio also runs through a tape machine which allows the user to slow down the audio creating a pitch shift effect.

The sensors use a variety of protocols for sending and receiving information, including, Open Sound Control, MIDI and SSH. These all work together to create a full interactive system suited to performance art, live gigs and exhibitions.
