For my Graduate project I wanted to focus on character design and puppetry; two modules I enjoyed the most throughout my college experience. I designed and developed a creature from another world, called the Ridderak. As an adult this creature is vicious and a source of terror for many. The young however, like this one, are relatively harmless and simply curious about their surroundings.
It is a rod-controlled silicone puppet with a full range of head and arm movement. The ears and jaw can be controlled via cables feeding into the head, and wires running though the fingers allow them to be arranged in fixed positions. It is aimed towards use on film or TV productions.
