In an age of digitisation, technology has adapted around products and services that have long existed and play an every day role in people’s lives. While subscription services have become a normalised and accepted way to consume media, live music subscription services are a far newer concept which have not yet been implemented in Ireland. There are many aspects to both live music and subscription services such as the psychology behind artists and audiences to attend live performances, the promotion aspects to live music, and the understanding of digital marketing needed to maintain a subscription service. This project aims to achieve a deeper understanding of these concepts, and to talk to those within the industry about what it would mean to implement a live music subscription service in Ireland and what it should set out to achieve.
